Besides direct operation of Chroma 61800, Chroma now also offers a corresponding SoftPanel for easier and more intuitive operation.
▲ AC Load Supports Three-Phase Mode
When more power is required, the SoftPanel provides simultaneous control of up to six models. Mix and match different power models from the Chroma 61800 series.
*Note: This function does not cover master-slave control, but the SoftPanel does allow control over multiple devices at once for operation in AC Load mode. Simply enter the GPIB or USB interface positions to control up to six devices simultaneously.
*Note: Mixing and matching is restricted to model groups: 61860, 61845, and 61830 can be combined with each other; 61815, 61812, and 61809 can be combined with each other.
CC Rectified Mode
Directly set the load current value and CF size through the SoftPanel, then use Phase Edit to decide whether to edit each phase separately or three phases together.
CP Rectified Mode
This function sets the load power value and CF size, and also offers Phase Edit to decide whether to edit each phase separately or three phases together.
CC Phase Lead/Lag Mode
This mode can both set the load current value as well as the angle of the current to lead or lag the voltage. An angle set to +45° indicates that the current leads the voltage by 45°, whereas an angle of -90° means that the current lags the voltage by 90°.
CP Phase Lead/Lag Mode
Although this mode serves to set the angle by which the power leads or lags the voltage, in essence, Chroma 61800 series will calculate the corresponding load current value based on the set power and measured voltage value, and then meet the setting based on the lead/lag angle. In addition to setting the angle, users can also set the PF value to calculate the load current as I = P / (PF x V).
CR Mode
Directly set the simulation resistance value through the SoftPanel, then calculate the corresponding pull current value based on the measured voltage value.
Auto Run
This function provides 100 sets of voltage/frequency changes for long-term and multi-loop testing. The hold-up time is tested in seconds. Moreover, users can also set internal and external loop settings such as Loop and Count, to perform long-term repetitive tests.
Report Generator
After selecting the preferred recording parameters, sampling rate, and time, it takes one press on the Report Start button to let this software function start recording.
