*Example configuration with A270163 FPD-Link signal module and A673905 power module
As automotive display technology continues to evolve, manufacturers need versatile, cost-effective testing solutions that can adapt to changing signal formats. The 27016 Integration Tester accommodates multiple signal and power modules in a single unit, helping manufacturers streamline production while ensuring long-term compatibility. Users can customize their testing configuration based on their specific requirements:
Today's intelligent cars are equipped with an array of display panels including instrument clusters, infotainment systems, center consoles, rearview mirrors, head-up displays (HUDs), windshields, and even side windows. These panels operate on signal formats that vary by carmaker, supplier, and use case. To address these diverse needs, the Chroma 27016 Integration Tester offers a modular solution supporting FPD-Link, GMSL, and APIX signals along with a programmable power supply. This enables rigorous disturbance and compatibility testing for the complex specifications and power conditions of automotive display panels.
The Chroma 27016 features a clear interface with one-touch power-on functionality. Intuitive LED indicators enable operators to easily assess the status of the system, test conditions, and device under test in real-time.
The system supports diverse input and output control applications suited to both R&D and automated production. In standalone mode, it can connect to a PC via Ethernet for full functionality. Multiple units can be daisy-chained for expanded capabilities. In automated production, the Smart I/O port can be used for PLC communication and logistics control, while the USB port enables firmware and image file updates.
Car display testing must meet the stringent requirements of both automakers and industry standards. The 27016 Integration Tester consolidates software, hardware, and firmware with vehicle signal and power supply capabilities in a single unit. It supports testing with multiple signal sources and can simulate extreme power conditions in vehicles to uncover potential uncertainties, significantly enhancing overall product quality.

The Chroma 27016 simplifies testing by reducing wiring complexity, components, test steps, costs, and repetition. Its compact A4-sized design makes it highly portable and adaptable, making it suitable for various customized needs in R&D, production lines, maintenance, and other applications.
The dual-slot, independently operable design enables versatile usage. It supports multiple automotive signal interfaces, including FPD-Link, GMSL, and APIX (A27016x series modules). Additionally, the system is compatible with power modules (A67390x series) and future analysis and control modules, providing users with a flexible and expandable testing environment.

The built-in smart fan system monitors temperature fluctuations between mainframe and modules. Utilizing Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), it automatically adjusts fan speed to minimize noise while maintaining optimal operating temperatures, extending the system's lifespan.
For easy standalone operation, the system supports most commercially available infrared (IR) remote controls. Users can customize key functions for simple and convenient control tailored to various testing needs and scenarios.

The complementary Chroma IT software also features a learning mode. This allows users to assign button functions via an intuitive graphical interface, enhancing ease of operation, remote control, and customization.
The 27016 offers comprehensive automotive display measurement capabilities. Using GO/NOGO software, the tester can integrate with a Chroma color analyzer for white balance testing, data storage, and report generation, providing a complete optical display inspection solution.
