Chroma 8700 EV BMS Functional Verification Automated Test System integrates a battery cell simulator to simulate battery cell voltage changes, a bidirectional current source to simulate physical current flow through current shunt of CSU, and a high-voltage power supply to simulate battery pack voltage changes. When combined with integration components, the 8700 enables a wide range of tests on the battery management system. The architectural diagram below shows the battery cell simulators integrated into the automated BMS test system.
